Reading- Modesto Nuts Reading Program. Students are working for a free ticket to Modesto Nuts Baseball game by reading. For the next 4 weeks if they read and take AR tests, earning 10% of their goal weekly they receive coupons from local establishments weekly. Every Monday at lunch I will evaluate their progress. If they have earned each weekly goal, they will receive a free ticket to the baseball game. This is a great encouragement program to read. If they miss their goal one week, they are out of the program. Encourage your students to read now. Thank you for your support and encouraging your child to keep learning.
Math- Math Facts (add, subtract, multiply and divide) are essential for students to know with automaticity in order to be successful in school. Students should already have addition and subtraction, multiplication and division will be memorized this year. Please practice with your child daily. (Math facts are now part of their math grade.)
