Reading- Hard to believe, third trimester is here. AR reading goal is 20% by March 1. Encourage your students to read now. Third graders are expected to read 500,000 words independently by the end of the year. This figure does not include in-class teacher read aloud reading. Thank you for your support and encouraging your child to keep learning.
Math- Math Facts (add, subtract, multiply and divide) are essential for students to know with automaticity in order to be successful in school. Students should already have addition and subtraction, multiplication and division will be memorized this year. Please practice with your child daily. (Math facts are now part of their math grade.)
